Information about the withdrawal from the Russian market of foreign manufacturers of veterinary preparations was not received by the Ministry of Agriculture. The most popular funds have domestic counterparts, the press service of the ministry said.
The RTVI publication, citing Nikolai Bespalov, Development Director at RNC Pharma, reported that the number of companies that supply drugs for pets has decreased by almost 30% over the year.
"Information about the withdrawal from the market of foreign manufacturers of medicines for veterinary use has not been received by the Russian Ministry of Agriculture. It should be noted that the most popular foreign-made products have domestic counterparts," the report says.
The ministry also noted that there are currently 100 domestic manufacturers of medicines for veterinary use in Russia. Also, 2,219 medicinal products for veterinary use were registered, of which 1,344 (60%) are domestically produced. At the same time, medicines produced in friendly countries are widely represented in Russia.
