The head of the Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that domestic producers know how to work in a rush, a similar situation was observed in 2020, at the beginning of the pandemic. According to him, there will be no shortage of food, as enterprises are increasing production and are ready to adapt to new market demands. Russian manufacturers operate in conditions of constant cost increase, which is reflected in retail prices. The government is working to minimize inflationary risks, the head of the Ministry of Agriculture noted.
In this regard, a number of decisions have been made to contain the rising cost of food and maintain its availability. Among them: additional measures to support producers, including preferential lending programs, subsidizing production and preferential leasing of agricultural machinery and equipment, preferential working loans for backbone organizations of the agro-industrial complex, expanding sown areas, Patrushev said. The Minister emphasized that such support measures guarantee the stability and uninterrupted operation of enterprises, and will also contribute to the creation of employment in the countryside and the preservation of jobs.
