The request of the Association of Retail Companies (AKORT) to reduce VAT on socially significant products will be considered, the Ministry of Industry and Trade reported. It is, among other things, about curbing the prices of meat, bread, flour, bananas, milk and tea.

According to Izvestia's information received at the ministry, the Ministry of Industry and Trade believes that the AKORT initiative deserves attention.

Recall that representatives of retail chains informed the Federal Tax Service that retailers need to reduce value added tax included in the price of goods. Attention is also drawn to the need to simplify the calculation of VAT. It is also about the deferment for the payment of insurance premiums.
