The share of counterfeit meat and meat products in Moscow, the Moscow and Tula regions in 2018 amounted to almost 26%, reports RNS with reference to the head of the regional department of the Rosselkhoznadzor Yevgeny Antonov. According to him, a total of 269 samples were withdrawn from local groceries.

As it became known earlier, in January-November 2018  the department checked more than 26 thousand lots of livestock products and animal feed. In 16% of cases there was identified a counterfeit.
