Last year they exceeded $8 billion, which is 10 % more than the level of the previous year, this year the growth of exports is also maintained and even accelerated," Sergey Levin said.

He specified that the volume of exports, compared to the same period in 2022, increased by more than 30%. The largest buyers in the Asia-Pacific region are China, South Korea, Japan, and Vietnam. "I would like to note that countries such as Vietnam and China will actively increase food imports in the coming years, driven by urbanization and outpacing growth in household incomes. China, for example, has almost doubled its food imports over the past five years," he said. Sergey Levin, adding that the country is a key partner in the field of agricultural trade, in 2022, the supply of products there exceeded $5 billion.

He also said that Russia is among the 20 largest exporters of agricultural products and food in the world. In 2022, Russian agricultural exports exceeded $41 billion, which is about 12% more than in 2021. Grain products are mainly exported, in particular, wheat, oil and fat products, fish products, seafood, products of the food processing industry.
