Analysts at AD Limited found out that there was a "physical shortage" of broiler carcasses and fillets in the Russian market. The shortage of chicken was confirmed by one federal retailer and a large meat processor, who explained everything by “redistribution of flows”.
The lack of chicken is primarily due to the difficulties in the production and supply of the product from the Belgorod region, which is considered the leader in the industrial production of poultry meat in the country.
In addition, a 4% increase in poultry exports to Saudi Arabia could have caused a shortage of chicken. The shortage of the product could also be provoked by rush demand and, as a result, a rise in prices
