In July 2021, the largest pig herd was registered in the Belgorod Region – 4667.5  thousand heads.

The second place in rating got the Kurskregion - 2207.4 thousand heads followed by the Voronezh region – 1694.7 thousand heads.

The other seven regions that made it to the ranking are:

• Pskov Region – 1617.7 thousand heads;

• Tambov Region – 1124.6 thousand heads;

• Chelyabinsk Region - 786 thousand heads;

• Orel Region – 756.6 thousand heads;

• Lipetsk Region – 714.7 thousand heads;

• Republic of Mordovia – 667.7 thousand heads;

• Krasnodar Territory – 622.4 thousand heads.
