The turnover of agricultural products between Russia and China increased by 14% in seven months. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Sergey Levin during a meeting of the Subcommittee on Agriculture of the Russian-Chinese Commission for the preparation of regular meetings of heads of government, writes The DairyNews with reference to the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

As Sergei Levin emphasized, despite the challenges faced by the global economy amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the agricultural departments of the two countries manage to maintain ties at a decent level.

Particular attention at the meeting was paid to the organization of mutual access of agricultural products and food to the markets of the two countries. The parties noted their readiness to continue joint work to increase trade volumes and expand the range of supplies. In particular, frozen fish, cereals, vegetable oils, and meat products are of significant export interest for the Russian side.
