Tyson Foods, a large American producer of meat products, plans to invest in the opening of a meat processing complex in Kazakhstan. This was reported in the press service of the government of the republic. 

The agreement was concluded by the head of the republic Askar Mamin, the president of the company Noel White and its head of the board of directors John Tyson. We are talking about an object with a capacity of two thousand head of cattle per day. One and a half billion dollars will be allocated for construction. The project will be implemented within two years. During this time, it is planned to build several plants in the north, south and center of the republic.

American specialists will give advise Kazakh farmers during the production process. The American company will also participate in the project together with the Kazakh holding Kusto Group.

Also, the Prime Minister of Kazakhstan met in Omaha with the Governor of Nebraska Peter Ricketts and the president of the company-manufacturer of irrigation equipment Valmont Industries Stefan Kanievsky. They signed an agreement on opening a Valley irrigation plant in the republic with a capacity of 1000 frontal and circular irrigation machines per year. Due to this, it is planned to reduce water costs several times and increase crop productivity by one and a half times.
