In 2021, Ukraine increased agricultural export to the EU by 26% y/y to 8.4 bln USD, declared the deputy director at the National scientific center Nikolai Pugachev.
“Export of fat & oil products, grains and oilseeds, residues and waste from the food industries accounted for 80%of the overall exports. The export of all these products in monetary terms increased in 2021”, – he said.
Ukraine exported to the EU rapeseed at the sum of 1.303 bln USD, soybean oil – 227 mln USD, rapeseed oil – 174 mln USD.
“Prospects for 2022 look bright as long as the social and economic stability in Ukraine and partner countries persist. High production of agricultural crops as well as the absence of sharp shift in the global market situation will be important factors too”, – the expert summarized.
