President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon opened a unique livestock complex in Java, Khatlon region, which has no analogues in Central Asia. He works according to European standards. Cattle are raised here. Eight modern meat breeds from Europe were imported. Now there are 1.5 thousand head. But the capacity of the complex will increase the number of livestock by three times. According to European standards, each bull gains a weight of 1.5 kg daily.
"Now the weighing process is underway. Each animal has a tag in its ears. Modern technologies are now reading out and transmitting information to a computer. Automatically, the gained weight goes to the database, " said Nosir Satorov, doctor of biological sciences, specialist in the field of veterinary medicine and zootechnics.
The complex has 64 CCTV cameras that are working around the clock. Everything here is automated, from the supply of drinking water to the ventilation system.
The President was also shown new equipment from Germany for the manufacture of fodder. Juicy and healthy herbs are grown and processed here. A plant is operating on the territory of the complex.
High-quality meat will be provided to shopping centers of the capital. Looking ahead production will be expanded.
"The main goal of the project is to ensure the food security of the country, support the state program of import substitution, the introduction of the latest modern technologies for growing and processing meat," said project manager Tofik Akhmedov.
Livestock complexes will appear in two more areas - Baldzhuvan and Khovalingsky. Eight farms will be built there and 1,600 pedigree cows will be brought from European countries.
