The head of the Dagestan Export Support Center, Ruslan Abaskuliev, said that lamb produced in this republic of the North Caucasus Federal District is considered a luxury product in the United Arab Emirates, RIA Dagestan reports.
Dishes from it are included in the menu of the most expensive restaurants and hotels in the UAE. Thus, the regional brand “Dagestan Lamb” acquires international status: counterparties from the Arabian Peninsula are interested in increasing supplies.
According to Ruslan Abaskuliev, despite the confident progress in the HoReCa segment, it is not easy for Dagestan to compete with other exporters in the established UAE market, so it is necessary to continue working on opening alternative foreign markets.
