Since the beginning of 2020, Vietnam has become the main importer of Russian pork, the Meatinfo portal reports citing the Center for Agricultural Analytics of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

The volume of exports of this type of red meat to this East Asian country in January amounted to $ 5.7 million in value terms. The main share of Russian pork supplies to Vietnam was provided by Belgorod, Moscow and Kursk regions ($ 4.2 million, $ 1 million and $ 500 thousand, respectively). In total, according to the Federal Customs Service of Russia (FCS), the volume of pork export in January 2020 amounted to $ 12.4 million in monetary terms. Compared with the first month of last year, it grew by almost 4.8 times (corresponding figure for January 2019 - $ 2.6 million).
