The Murmansk region is the leader among Russian regions in the dynamics of growth in livestock production, as follows from Rosstat data presented in the report “The Social and Economic Situation of Russia” based on the results of 2023.
Farms of all categories in the Murmansk region produced 31% more products in 2023 compared to 2022 figures.
In second place is the Tver region. The volume of livestock production in this region increased by 16.8% over the year.
The Bryansk region is also in the top three. The region increased livestock production by 12.4% in 2023.
The Pskov region and the Republic of Adygea were also in the top five leading regions for this indicator, production in which increased by 9.3% and 7.9%, respectively.
Moscow became the leader of the anti-rating. Livestock production in the city decreased by almost 20% over the year. In the Khabarovsk Territory, production fell by 18%. The volume of livestock production in the Primorsky Territory and the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug decreased by 10%.
