Ukraine has entered the top 10 world leaders in chicken meat exports after the results reported in the first four months of 2018, according to a report released by the US Department of Agriculture, BusinessCenter reports. Ukraine exported 310,000 tons of chicken meat between January and April 2018. In the first four months of this year, the leaders in chicken meat exports were Brazil, with 3.8 million tons, the EU, with 1.3 million tons, and Thailand, with 810,000 tons. A livestock vaccine production unit will be built in Semnan Province in cooperation with Russia, director general of the province’s veterinary organization said. The investment in its new facility amounted to about 700 million rubles ($11 million) and has a production capacity of 45 million eggs per year, according to local media. Russia’s ministry of agriculture has approved the issuing of 240 billion roubles (US$ 4 billion) destined for new projects in the domestic pig industry. Belarus wants to reach an export volume of 20,000 tonnes of beef in the relationship developed with Chinese partners, according to Aleksei Bogdanov, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
