Chicken production growth in Russia exceeds demand growth for chicken meat

Prices for chicken meat have decreased slightly by 0.2 percent during April 2018, and decreased by 5.6 percent as compared to the same period of last year. According to the Information-Analytical Agency EMEAT, imported chicken meat in Russia fell in price by 0.9 percent in April 2018, and became cheaper by 3.9 percent during a year. Purchasing and consumer prices for chicken meat began to decrease at the end of 2016 due to the active production growth and, consequently, the saturation of the Russian market. Cherkizovo joins forces with the Russian authorities to open new markets

Russia's biggest poultry producer will receive support from the Russian Ministry of Economic Development to extend its exports to new foreign markets. Sergey Mikhailov, CEO of the Cherkizovo, and Alexei Gruzdev, Deputy Minister of Economic Development of the Russian Federation, held a business meeting, during which they discussed measures to support the foreign economic activities of agro-industrial companies. Ukraine reported pork exports of 809 tons worth $1.88 million in the first four months of 2018, Latifundist reports. Based on the data presented by the State Fiscal Service of Ukraine, the main importers of Ukrainian pork in the mentioned period are Hong Kong ($1,071,000), Georgia ($355,000) and Vietnam ($354,000). Ingushetia plans to export poultry to Qatar

Authorities of Ingushetia want to export poultry products from the Yuzhny complex to Qatar and several other Arab countries, according to the latest statement made by the head of the republic Yunus-Bek Yevkurov, as reported by the Russian news agency Tass.
