The volume of agricultural production in Russia in January-September 2022 increased by 5.2% compared to the same period in 2021 and amounted to 5 trillion 437.4 billion rubles. This is stated in the materials of Rosstat.

"The volume of agricultural production of all agricultural producers (agricultural organizations, peasant (farm) households, households) in September 2022 in current prices, according to preliminary estimates, amounted to 1 trillion 595.7 billion rubles, in January - September 2022 - 5 trillion 437.4 billion rubles," the ministry said.

According to statistics, as of October 1, 2022, in farms of all categories (agricultural organizations, farmers, the population), according to calculations, 140.2 million tons of grain (in the initially recorded weight) were harvested, which is 32.5% more than on the corresponding date previous year.

Sugar beet harvested 13.4 million tons (+4.3%). Sunflower seeds (in the initial recorded weight) received 3 million tons (-45.3%). More potatoes were harvested by 1.5%, more vegetables were harvested by 1.4%.

In agricultural enterprises, where 63.7% of the areas of grain and leguminous crops (excluding corn) are concentrated, their areas are threshed by 92.3% (by this time in the previous year - by 90.2%). Taking into account the summer death of crops and the use of some of them for fodder purposes, according to calculations, it remains to harvest about 7.5% of the sown area of ​​grain and leguminous crops (without corn). Fiber flax in agricultural organizations has been plucked from 71.8% of the area, a year ago, 69.3% of crops were harvested by this time, Rosstat added.

Rosstat also reported that at the end of September 2022, the number of cattle in the farms of all agricultural producers, according to calculations, amounted to 18.2 million heads, which is 1.8% less compared to the corresponding date of the previous year, of which cows - 7.8 million (1.2% less), pigs - 28.3 million (3.9% more), sheep and goats - 22.5 million, like a year ago, poultry - 577.8 million heads (3.4% more).

In the structure of livestock, households accounted for 39% of cattle, 7.6% of pigs, 44.4% of sheep and goats (as of the end of September 2021 - respectively 39.7%, 8.7%, 46.1% ).

Egg production in Russia in January - September 2022 in farms of all categories increased by 2.2% compared to the same period last year and amounted to 34.8 billion pieces, milk - by 1.2%, to 25.3 million tons, according to the materials of Rosstat.

During this period, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter in live weight increased by 3.7% - up to 11.2 million tons.

In September, egg production in Russia increased by 3% compared to the same period in 2021, to 3.9 billion eggs, milk - by 2.1%, to 2.8 million tons. At the same time, the production of livestock and poultry for slaughter increased by 1.9% - up to 1.3 million tons.
