On July 11 of this year, a meeting of Russian experts was organized at the Federal Center for Animal Health Protection (FSBI "ARRIAH") in the city of Vladimir with representatives of the National Center for Animal Health of the Ministry of Agriculture (CENASA) of the Republic of Cuba as part of the development of key areas of Russian-Cuban cooperation. cooperation until 2030.

The negotiations from Cuba were attended by General Director Cristobal Alexis Arredondo and Chief Specialist for Quarantine and Control in International Trade Mirella Brito Diaz. Also present at the meeting were representatives of Rosselkhoznadzor and the Federal State Budgetary Institution "TsOKZ".

The purpose of the event is to strengthen cooperation, exchange professional experience among students and employees, exchange training opportunities, as well as establish new contacts with the Ministry of Agriculture (CENASA) of the Republic of Cuba for further cooperation.

Presentations reflecting the latest achievements of the institute in the field of veterinary medicine were presented at the round table. Issues of digitalization of veterinary medicine, innovations in the production of vaccines and diagnostic kits, as well as methods for the prevention and control of foot and mouth disease were discussed. An analysis was made of the episodic situation in Cuba and neighboring countries.

This event took place following the results of the previously held “Exhibition and IV International Seminar on Animal and Plant Health (SISA 2023)” in the city of Varadero in the Republic of Cuba

To improve the control and control of economically important animal diseases, established working contacts and new connections will be important for both Cuba and Russia.
