Agricultural enterprises plan to produce 19 thousand tons of poultry meat, mainly chicken, this year in Primorye.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture of Primorye, the new volume of poultry meat production will make a significant contribution to the self-sufficiency of the region and its food security.

“This year the production of poultry meat should reach 19,000 tons. As a result, self-sufficiency in this product of the inhabitants of the region will almost double - from 16 to 30%," Minister Andrey Bronts emphasized.

According to the relevant ministry, this result was achieved due to state support and various measures that were provided to the leading poultry meat producer Agroptitsa. Financial and other support was provided as part of the implementation of the state program.

“Development of agriculture and regulation of markets for agricultural products, raw materials and food. Improving the standard of living of the rural population of Primorsky Krai”. As a result, chicken production in the region increased by 1.5 times compared to last year. And in the first six months, the enterprise produced 9.5 thousand tons of chicken meat.

The department emphasized that the regional subsidy is provided for the production and sale of products. State support allows you to increase production volumes and save jobs.
