An industrial park "Nogayprom" - several centers for the production of mutton, wil be built in the Nogai district of Dagestan.

According to the acting Minister of Economy and Territorial Development of the Republic, Haji Sultanov, this is an economically sound decision. Linking meat processing centers in the immediate vicinity of grazing sites will save livestock breeders from the loss of mass of sheep during long hauls of tens of kilometers. The construction of an industrial park will allow abandoning the export of live sheep in favor of products with high added value. Sultanov noted that livestock resources in Dagestan are sufficient to ensure the supply of mutton to Iran and Kuwait, and in the future, possibly, to Saudi Arabia. According to the results of 2019, the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Dagestan intends to increase the volume of mutton exports to Iran by 1.5 times: from four to five to six thousand tons.
