The regional information portal IvanovoNews reported on the outbreak of African swine fever in the Ilyinsky district of the Ivanovo region. A notice about the death of pigs in a personal subsidiary plot near the village of Ryshnevo (Ivashevsky settlement) was received by the regional department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations on July 5.
The day before, a wild boar kept in an enclosure died in the same area. Examination of the pathological material showed the presence of African swine fever virus DNA. A team of 12 employees of the service with five units of special equipment was sent to the outbreak site. Primary measures to localize the epizootic focus have been completed. Veterinary services clarify the boundaries of quarantine zones.
