  At its Cabinet session on Friday, the government approved the 2019-2024 cattle-breeding development program for Armenia.

Deputy Minister of Agriculture Gegham Gevorgyan presented the matter. He noted that state assistance will be provided to this end, and by way of partial subsidization of respective loan interest rates.

In his words, within the framework of this program, one business entity can obtain at least 300 farm animals.

Gevorgyan added that in five years, milk and meat totaling 25 billion drams (approx. US$51,603,750) shall be produced in Armenia; that is, this will have a huge multiplication effect, and it will have a positive impact on the state budget of Armenia.
