Inflation expectations of Russians increased to 12.8% in October from 12.5% ​​in September. Information about this is contained in the "infom" report, which was commissioned by the Bank of Russia.

38% of respondents in October noticed an increase in the cost of meat and poultry. 29% of participants noted an increase in the price of dairy products. 28% of respondents saw an increase in the cost of tea, coffee and medicines.

In addition, according to the survey, 33% of the study participants said that they had to save on travel, 28% of respondents saved on clothes and shoes, 25% on repairs.

In the first half of September, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that inflation in the country by the end of 2022 would be about 12%, and the downward trend would continue.

At the end of July, the Russian Central Bank predicted that inflation in Russia by the end of 2022 would be 12-15%. The annual inflation forecast for 2023 was kept by the Bank of Russia at the level of 5-7%. The regulator's expectations for annual inflation in 2024 also remained unchanged - at the level of 4%.
