In January-April 2020, agricultural farms of all kinds (state-run agricultural enterprises, private farmers, subsidiary farms) produced Br4 billion worth of goods, which was 5.2% up year-on-year in comparable prices, BelTA learned from the National Statistics Committee.
In January-April 2020, agricultural enterprises made Br3.9 billion worth of products, which was up by 5.7% over the same period of 2019 in comparable prices.
The output of cattle and poultry (in terms of live weight) at farms of all kinds totaled 622,600 tonnes (5% up over January-April 2019), including 596,200 tonnes at agricultural enterprises.
Milk production reached 2,463,200 tonnes (up by 5.2%), including 2,402,900 at agricultural enterprises.
As of 1 May, the number of cattle in agricultural enterprises stood at 4.2 million head (99% as against 1 May 2019), including 1.4 million cows (0.2% up). The number of pigs amounted to 2.6 million head, which was 4.2% as against 1 May 2019.
