During the first 9 months of the year, the country exported meat and meat products to 17 markets. In the first three quarters, Belarusian meat exports have increased by 11% compared to the same period of 2017, reaching a total value of $724 million, according to BelTA news agency.

Today, Belarus sells meat products to 17 countries. In January-September 2018 the country increased its meat exports by 11% to $724 million. The geography of supplies is very wide. Traditional markets include the countries of the Eurasian Economic Union and the CIS. Belarus sells meat products to far-distance countries as well, including the Asian market. Belarus has also launched deliveries of meat products to China to earn a total of $1.1 million in January-September 2018. This is a promising market, and we will continue strengthening our positions there,” said Aleksei Bogdanov, Head of the Central Office for Foreign Economic Activities of the Belarusian Agriculture and Food Ministry.
In January-September Belarus exported meat products worth $666 million to Russia. The export of beef rose by 9% as against the same period a year prior, that of poultry by 14%. In 2019, in accordance with the supply balance sheet, Belarus will supply as much poultry to Russia as in 2018 and will increase beef supplies by 20,000 tonnes.
Also, Vietnam is starting to look like a promising market for Belarusian meat companies. “Vietnam is another interesting market. In January-September 2018, Belarus supplied $3 million worth of meat products there. The assortment of products is wide, and the supplies are growing,” added Bogdanov.
