The cost of imported chicken legs has slightly decreased over the month. Prices for chicken meat in Russia for the week by February 28 decreased by an average of 1.3%. The cost of chicken cuts decreased by 1.0%, prices for offal decreased by 2.3%.

Over the month, the average level of domestic prices for raw chicken meat decreased by 2.0%, cutting - by 1.8%, offal - by 2.6%. For example, the average price for a Russian-made broiler carcass was 130 rubles/kg, a wing - 137 rubles/kg, a breast fillet - 222 rubles/kg.

Wholesale prices for imported chicken meat increased by 0.5%, and fell by 1.3% over the month. For example, the cost of imported chicken legs decreased by 0.8% over the month and amounted to 184 rubles/kg.

The cost of a broiler carcass has the potential to rise to 131 rubles/kg -137 rubles/kg by the 15th week. The price of breast fillet during this period may drop to about 212 rubles/kg.

For comparison: world prices for a broiler carcass rose 0.4% over the week, to $2.28 per kg. Compared to the previous month, the broiler rose in price by 2.9%, and over the year the increase was by 4.3%. Including the last week, prices grew in the USA, Brazil, the European Union, but remained stable in China. Over the past month, broiler carcass prices in Brazil rose by 6.3%, China - by 12.2%, in the US - by 0.9%, and in the EU - decreased by 3.6%.

In Russia, the cost of a broiler carcass in dollar terms decreased by 1.0% over the week to $1.74. For a month, a broiler in Russia became cheaper by 10.1% in dollar terms.

The average price for domestically produced turkey meat rose by 0.7% over the past week, but fell by 1.2% over the month. Prices for parts of the turkey carcass decreased by 0.9%, and for the month cutting prices fell by 1.3%. So, the cost of a carcass is 238 rubles / kg.
