  Yamal Governor Dmitry Artyukhov visited the slaughter complex of the Yamal Deer municipal enterprise to assess the progress of the procurement campaign, the press service of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug government reports.

As it was reported at the beginning of November, at the start of the procurement campaign, the purchase prices for venison of the first category more than doubled - up to 450 rubles per kilogram for representatives of national communities and small reindeer herding enterprises. Starting next year, farms of all categories will receive the same price for delivered meat. Artyukhov asked representatives of the Kharp and I Erv communities how they took the initiative of the district government. They replied that they had already appreciated the benefit provided and added that the season was completed successfully and a healthy deer stock was obtained.   

 The slaughter complex MP “Yamal deer” was built in 2012 according to the Finnish project. It is equipped with EU certified manufacturing equipment. The next batch of 110 tons of venison will be shipped to Finland next week.
