The annual Made in Russia forum has been held at the Russian Export Center. The event was attended by Russian and foreign companies as well as the Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin and other members of the Russian government. Cherkizovo Group, which is currently expanding its meat exports, presented a stand at the forum showcasing the Company’s products.

The Made in Russia forum focused on the challenges of the next decade. Among other pressing issues, topics included the use of new business solutions to grow exports, the reduction of bureaucratic red tape, and the application of e-commerce mechanisms in export operations.

The forum attracted heads of major Russian and foreign companies, federal and regional authorities, banks, regional export support centers, and various business associations and unions. The Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin also took part along with other members of the Russian government. Speaking at the event, Mr. Mishustin urged Russian businesses to actively adopt digital technologies in their export operations and called for a reduction of the administrative burden on exporters. He noted the continuing growth of non-commodity exports this year, particularly in the agricultural sector. In the first ten months of 2020, exports of agricultural products increased by 15%.

The Prime Minister also visited the stands of major Russian exporters from various industries. Cherkizovo Group, Russia’s leading meat producer, had a stand of its own at the forum.

“This was a very successful year for our exports, with our meat product shipments rising by almost 70%. This success comes on the back of the great work that the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance has been doing in the last few years to open international markets for Russian meat and meat products. The Ministry of Agriculture and Russian Export Center also played their part by promoting domestic products and making them more competitive in foreign markets. I am confident that this support will help Cherkizovo and other industry players to further expand exports,” said Andrei Terekhin, Head of Industry Unions and Government Relations at Trading Company Cherkizovo.

Held since 2012, the Made in Russia forum is the main platform for discussing export-related issues under the International Cooperation and Exports National Project.
