In the second quarter of 2019, the average selling price for turkeymeat has increased by 22% compared to the same period last year, according to a report on the operating results of the Cherkizovo group. In June, the average price decreased by 2.6% compared to May to 160.26 rubles / kg, but this is 17% higher than in June 2018. In January 2019, the average price of   turkey meat exceeded 180 rubles / kg.

According to the company, the price increase occurred "due to the expansion of the offer of products under the Pava-Pava brand and high demand for turkey products." The production of Tambov Turkey (a joint project with the Spanish Grupo Fuertes) decreased compared to the second quarter of 2018 by 15% to 8.9 thousand tons, which Cherkizovo explains by the accumulation of stocks in late spring. At the same time, in the first quarter, the production volume also decreased - by 16% to 8.2 thousand tons compared to January-March 2018.
