“China became the main importer of agricultural products in the Moscow Region in the first half of 2022. Finished products worth a total of $153 million were delivered to this country,” said Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region Georgy Filimonov.
He clarified that the second place in terms of purchases of products from enterprises of the Moscow region in value terms is occupied by Kazakhstan - $ 144 million, the third is Belarus, which imported goods from the Moscow region for $ 108 million, and the fourth - Saudi Arabia (69 million).
The main groups of products supplied by the Moscow Region to foreign buyers are meat, confectionery, non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages.
In the first half of the year, exports of finished food products from the Moscow region amounted to almost $800 million, or 530,000 tons, which is 32,000 tons more than in the same period in 2021.
