Chuvash breeders have bred a new cross of geese - Makulinsky. This hybrid, characterized by increased productivity and vitality, occupies 70% of the Russian market. The achievement of scientists from the republic has already been appreciated by the economy and farms of the country.

And recently, the breeding enterprise of the Tsivilsky District was awarded a patent for breeding work from the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia. And today, 70 percent of the Russian market is occupied by Chuvash birds.

Goslings live here. So for them peculiar nests for growth are built. A comfortable temperature is maintained. Babies gain weight quickly. And this is what nine-day-old chicks look like - real strong men. At nine weeks of age, they already reach five kilograms. Young animals are being prepared for shipment to other regions. During the season, the company supplies more than 100 thousand heads.

The enterprise provides breeding material, and these are hatching eggs and young animals, not only to all reproducers and poultry farms in Russia, but also exports them to Kazakhstan and Belarus.

Goose eggs are also under close control. The hatchery is the quietest place in the breeding plant. In one such cabinet, up to 6 thousand eggs fit. Geese productivity is high: more than 50 eggs can be laid in 19 weeks. But in general, all individuals for the season - more than half a million pieces. And, as experts say, other indicators of the Makulinsky cross are also encouraging. Therefore, the company received a patent for a breeding achievement from the All-Russian Institute of Poultry.

“Several years ago there were control tests of this goose in the Czech Republic, this goose took first place, it is distinguished not only by the high quality of meat products, but also by the high quality of down and feather raw materials,” said Yakov Roiter, head of the scientific direction of the All-Russian Research and Technological Institute of Poultry.

Recently, the Makulinsky goose was interested in Germany. Five-star hotels use the down and feathers of the Chuvash cross for stuffing pillows and blankets. Meanwhile, the process of obtaining such a hybrid is not at all fast. Work on the development of a new domestic cross lasted 11 years. It is named after the head of the enterprise. Each tribal individual even has a passport.

- All birds are breeding, have their own pedigree, all have blood marks - this is a passport, having opened it, we know the whole history, grandparents, - said Alexander Makulin, head of Vurnarets LLC.

Cross is obtained by crossing several breeds. Makulinsky was created on the basis of Lindovskaya. Now the total livestock of the enterprise is more than 22 thousand individuals. In the Russian market, this hybrid makes up 70 percent of the geese population as a whole. Chuvashia is already well known, including for these birds. So, we can say that the new Chuvash brand has received recognition.

Earlier, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Agriculture of Chuvashia Sergei Artamonov congratulated Yakov Roiter and Alexander Makulin on a significant achievement.
