Since the beginning of July, employees of the territorial department of the Rosselkhoznadzor for the Republic of Mordovia and the Penza region have held preventive conversations and consultations on biological safety issues with visits to closed poultry enterprises.

Visits aimed at preventing outbreaks of highly pathogenic avian influenza were held at Atemarskaya Poultry Farm OJSC, Oktyabrskaya Agrofirma JSC in the Lyambirsky district of Mordovia and MPK Norovsky LLC (Norov Agrofirma) in Saransk.

Specialists in veterinary supervision briefed the management of the poultry industry with up-to-date data indicating an aggravation of the epizootic situation with highly pathogenic avian influenza, in particular, about recently registered outbreaks in the Ryazan region. They spoke in detail about the danger of the virus and the economic consequences of bringing the pathogen into the production area and conducted a briefing on the veterinary rules approved by orders of the Ministry of Agriculture of Russia No. 104, 158 and 626 in 2006-2021.
