The 3-day event will take place in the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Dublin from May 25-27, and is set up around a mixture of technical presentations and practical visits.

The Irish pig industry will also receive plenty of attention at the event. Ciaran Carroll, head of the pig development department at the Irish agriculture and food development authority (Teagasc), will give an overview of Irish pig production, after which speakers from various sides of the Irish industry will give a heads-up where the industry stands.

Topics touched on will include e.g. 'Innovation in the Irish Agri-Food Sector', 'The DNA Trackback Program' and 'The Story of Truly Irish'.
