According to the results of 7.5 months, the Rosselkhoznadzor records a twofold increase in the volume of exports of live animals from Russia compared to the same period in 2021, the press service of the agency told.
So, for the specified period of 2022, according to the FSIS "Argus", more than 114.7 thousand heads of pigs (48.3% of the total volume), large (10.9%) and small (40.8%) cattle were shipped . For 7.5 months of last year, the total volume was at the level of 56.3 thousand heads.
Significantly increased the purchase of live pigs this year Georgia (51.6 thousand heads) and Armenia (3.7 thousand heads).
Almost 14,000 head of live small ruminants were shipped to Jordan, almost 13,000 to Azerbaijan. Lebanon, Uzbekistan and Georgia have similar volumes - over 6 thousand heads of small cattle.
The largest number of live cattle went to buyers from Uzbekistan (more than 7.1 thousand heads), which more than doubled purchases of this type of product.
The livestock breeders of Azerbaijan have significantly increased the import of cattle from Russia (almost 1.5 thousand heads).
Rosselkhoznadzor will continue to work on diversifying the export flows of live animals from Russia.
