On October 1, 2019, the first installation meetings were held on the systemic development of organized trading in fish products, other aquatic biological resources and meat (this work is carried out by the Federal Antimonopoly Service and in the framework of the implementation of the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the implementation of the existing “road maps”).

During the events, representatives of three exchange platforms spoke about the existing experience in the exchange trade in fish and meat, as well as about the prospects for its development.

So, for example, in May 2015, the auction electronic platform for trade in aquatic biological resources (VBR) began to operate. In total, for 2016-2019, according to one of the exchange platforms, the total volume of FBG products sold at exchange auctions amounted to 2016 tons.

"Our main task now is to clarify the advantages of exchange trading in goods and the positive effects of their implementation in organized trading," said Dmitry Makhonin, head of the Department for Regulation of the Fuel and Energy Complex and Chemical Industry of the FAS Russia.

As a result of the meetings, it was decided to create subcommittees of the Exchange Committee for the development of meat and fish trade.
