Over the past year, the volume of feed production in Russia increased to 35 million tons, or by 1.7 percent from the 2022 level. Rosstat provided such data in its report on the socio-economic situation in Russia for 2023.
One of the most successful months was December, when three million tons of this product were produced. This is 6.7 percent lower than the same month in 2022, but 3.9 higher than November. The dynamics of production of combined feeds in the remaining months of last year was not much worse, which indicates a fairly stable level of production.
Let us recall that the high level of feed production indicates the serious development of the agricultural sector in the country and an increase in its productivity and efficiency. This is especially true for livestock farming, with which this area is directly related. The increase in the output of these products indicates a serious increase in demand for livestock products both within the country and for export, on the one hand, and about the serious technological development of its production, on the other, capable of satisfying these needs. Its domestic producers provide a high-quality and varied assortment for various types of farm animals. At the same time, the problem of dependence on some imported vitamins, amino acids, minerals and enzymes, which are important components in the production of combined feeds, remains relevant.
