The Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation, as part of the preparation of the budget for 2023-2025, is considering the possibility of increasing the budget of the agro-industrial complex, said Elena Fastova, Deputy Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation.

"Now the process of forming the budget for 2023-2025 is underway, within the framework of which we are already working with the Ministry of Finance to increase the budget. For 2023, we have 375 billion rubles provided for under the current law, we are working with the Ministry of Finance to increase by another 124 billion rubles," - Fastova said in an interview with Rossiyskaya Gazeta.

“Therefore, next year it will be, I see, more than 500 billion rubles, maybe more, because it depends on our income from the duty,” she added.

The Deputy Minister recalled that this year the government has already allocated unprecedented amounts of support to agriculture.

"We have a state program for the agro-industrial complex, a new program for the reclamation of agricultural land and a program for the integrated development of rural areas. 355 billion were allocated for them. At the moment, it (state support - ed.) is already 434 billion rubles, that is, during the year it was increased ", - said Fastova.

The development of budgetary funds by the regions is ahead of schedule - for example, 47.7% of the provided funding has already been spent.

"We set the regions the task of making a plan for the most popular subsidies - compensatory and stimulating - at least 50% by July 1. And today we already have over 69% of cash expenditure on compensating subsidies, and 63% on stimulating subsidies," Fastova said, recalling plans to bring up to 80% of the funds to agricultural producers by July 1.
