14.7 thousand quail chickens were brought to the Severnaya poultry farm in Anadyr as part of a livestock renewal. Also, for the first time, the company's management tried to contain quails, eggs and meat of which are considered dietary.

Updating of the chicken stock in the largest poultry farm in the district is done every two years. Young birds are traditionally brought from the Belorechensk poultry farm in the Irkutsk region. “14730 quails were brought by direct charter flight from Irkutsk to Anadyr, now they are being placed at the poultry farm. These are precocious birds; it is planned that in November they will already begin to rush» said  Alexander Kudryavtsev, head of the production department of the district agricultural department.

The quail stock is updated according to odd years, and each time there are more and more birds at the Anadyr poultry farm - in 2015, there were more than 9 thousand chickens at Severnaya poultry farm, two years ago there were already 12 thousand. Also, the poultry farm decided to try to contain quails and brought 300 of these birds. Previously, entrepreneurs from Anadyr and Egvekinot were engaged in small volumes in the breeding and maintenance of quails in Chukotka.
