At the end of 2022, the foreign trade turnover between Russia and the EU countries amounted to 258.6 billion euros. This is 2.3% more than in 2021.

According to Eurostat, exports from the EU countries to Russia decreased by 38.1% and amounted to 55.2 billion euros. At the same time, Russian exports to the countries of the European Union increased by almost a quarter (plus 24.3%) compared to 2021 and reached 203.4 billion euros.

In December 2022, European exports to our country decreased by 53.2% compared to December 2021 to 3.6 billion euros. Compared to the previous month, Russia also reduced imports of goods from EU countries by 29.4%.

Russian exports to the EU countries in December 2022 compared to December 2021 decreased by 53.6% to 8.5 billion euros. Compared to the previous month, the EU reduced imports from Russia by 37.9%.

At the end of 2022, Russia remains in ninth place in the ranking of the largest importers from the EU. In the ranking of exporters, Russia is in fourth place. Our country is ahead of China, the USA and Great Britain.
