In 2023, the Moscow region noted a significant increase in turkey meat production, increasing by 40%. This positive trend is associated with the modernization of poultry farming complexes and the introduction of advanced technologies. An important role in the development of the industry was played by two large poultry farms in the region - the Yegoryevskaya Poultry Farm and the Bronnitskaya Poultry Farm, which are the main suppliers of dietary turkey meat to the market.
In the Moscow region, there are 222,000 heads of turkeys, which are successfully raised in these enterprises. Thanks to the efforts of their employees and the use of advanced methods, turkey production reached 8.6 thousand tons in 2023. This growth is an important factor in providing regional retail chains with high-quality and healthy turkey meat.
One of the key success factors in the development of poultry farming in the Moscow region is government support. Vladislav Murashov, Deputy Chairman of the Government of the Moscow Region and Minister of Agriculture and Food, noted that enterprises receive reimbursement of up to 20% of the costs of purchasing hatching eggs. This support measure is actively used from January 1 to November 30 each year, and last year the total amount of support amounted to 23.5 million rubles.
The Yegoryevskaya Poultry Farm, which has been specializing in the production of poultry meat and poultry products for more than twenty years, plays a key role in the development of poultry farming in the region. The company offers a wide range of products, including chilled broiler chicken, semi-finished and deli poultry products, and turkey products. She takes special care of the birds' health, using natural feed and incubating her own eggs.
The growth in turkey meat production in the Moscow region indicates that the poultry industry is on a stable path of development. Thanks to modernization and innovation, as well as government support, the Moscow region continues to strengthen its position in the production of high-quality and dietary poultry.
