Over the past month, sales of healthy products  increased in Russia by 13 percent from the same month last year, reports "Izvestia" with the reference to the tax data system "Taxocom".

The system specialists checked 11 billion cash checks. It turned out that the preferences of Russians have changed a lot towards healthy eating. The largest « healthy life style» (HLS) products were bought in the capital and other million-population cities. It is explained by the successful propaganda of healthy lifestyles, notes “Taxocom”.

We are talking about dietary meat, fruits and vegetables, bars and mussels. The largest increase was shown by sales of turkey - by a quarter, and chicken - by 13 percent. Vegetables (11 percent), fruits (nine percent), cereals and bars (from 5 to 13) showed a slightly lower growth. Even the rise in prices for fruits by 5% and vegetables by 6% - up to 40 and 89 rubles per kilogram, respectively, did not prevent this growth.

The operator also noted a simultaneous drop in alcohol sales —by eight percent.
