The sanctions of the Western countries did not negatively affect the development of the Russian poultry industry. Such data are provided by the Center for Agroanalytics, writes Veterinary Medicine and Life.

What happened

* Over the first five months since the beginning of the year, exports increased by about a third - up to 137.5 thousand tons. This is 37.1 thousand tons more than a year ago.

* The dependence of the Russian poultry industry on the supply of hatching eggs is now 20%, the expert estimates. Deliveries are dropping significantly.

* Last year, the industry was provided with poultry meat at the level of 100.8%, commercial eggs - 99.5%.

Details

Since the beginning of the year, the output of livestock products has increased in Russia, the Ministry of Agriculture reports. The greatest growth is in pig and poultry farming. Livestock and poultry enterprises produced a total of 2 million tons of products in live weight. Including half is a bird.
