In the structure of finished feed for farm animals, the main volume is compounded feed. The volume of compound feed produced in Russia in 2023 increased by 1.7% and reached 35 million tons. Of this, 3 million tons are feed for cattle (+3%), 15.3 million tons for pigs (+3.2%), and 16.4 million tons for poultry (+0.1%).

The active development of feed production in Russia, improvement of technologies and recipes affect the efficiency of livestock production.

There are 445 factories and workshops producing mixed feed in Russia.

The majority (more than 65%) of the produced feed is provided by enterprises concentrated in the Central and Volga Federal Districts. The main share of feed production is intended for poultry and pigs - more than 90%.
