All news / In January-August, Kazakhstan increased the agricultural production by 4.9%

For the first 8 months of 2020, the gross output of products and services of the agricultural, forestry and fishery industries in Kazakhstan totaled 2.419 tln KZT, an increase of 4.9% compared with the same period last year, reported the Statistics Committee at the Ministry of National Economy of the Republic of Kazakhstan (KazStat).

As a reminder, in January-July of 2020 the growth rates was estimated at 2.5%.

In particular, in January-August agricultural products traditionally formed the major volumes of production — 2.4 tln KZT, including plant growing commodities — 762.3 bln KZT, and animal commodities — 1.635 tln KZT.

According to the announcement, the growth in production of agricultural, forestry and fisheries products developed, due to increasing of the slaughtering volumes of farm animals and poultry in live weight by 3.7%, growth of the production of plant growing commodities by 10.7% as well as increasing of the raw milk yield by 3%.

Also, in January- August period 14 oblasts of Kazakhstan demonstrated the growth of agricultural production.
