Position of the Ministry of Agriculture
The Ministry of Agriculture pointed out that Russian agrarian business is currently serving as a driving force of Russian economy which shows a high growth rate in all key areas. The highest growth is demonstrated by the food processing industry. “The positive momentum is reached due to the consistent growth of the agricultural stock production volumes, increase in foreign markets supply, improvement in government support measures and production modernization. The high industry growth rate allows the continuous supply of the domestic market with basic foodstuffs, while at the same time expanding the export capacity,” the Ministry said.
