In particular, in January 81.2 thousand tons of cattle (+3%), 429.5 thousand tons of pigs (+9.6%), 1.87 thousand tons of sheep and goats (+55.5%) were sent to the slaughterhouse. ), 550.4 thousand tons of poultry (+5.3%) and 1.9 thousand tons of other farm animals (+13%).
At the end of January, the number of cattle kept on the farms of agricultural organizations decreased by 0.4% year-on-year to 7.906 million, including 3.18 million cows (-0.3%). The number of pigs for the year increased by 7% - up to 25.97 million. The number of small cattle amounted to 3 million (+1.3%). The number of birds increased by 2.2% - up to 470.85 million heads. The total number of horses was 219.18 thousand (-3%).
