Over the 10 months of this year, from January to October, the production of cattle meat (cattle), pork and mutton in Russia increased by 7.1% compared to the same period last year, up to 2.8 million tons, follows from the materials of Rosstat .
Also, since the beginning of this year, the production of poultry meat and edible by-products has increased by 3.2%, to 4.1 million tons.
In addition, the production of canned meat, including for baby food, increased by almost a quarter, to 659 million conventional cans.
At the same time, indicators for the production of sausages decreased by 1%, to 2 million tons.
In addition, processed and canned fish, as well as crustaceans and molluscs, were produced 6% less, to 3.5 million tons.
