Inflation for the week from April 30 to May 6, 2022, was 0.12%, from the beginning of May – 0.1%, from the beginning of the year – 11.78%. This was reported by Rosstat.

During the period from April 30 to May 6, prices increased: milk powder mixtures for baby food – by 1.1%, canned vegetables for baby food – by 0.9%, sour cream, black tea – by 0.8%.

Prices for margarine on average in Russia increased by 2.2%. Prices for table salt increased by 1.3% on average in the country. Prices for chicken eggs on average in the country decreased by 3.5%. Granulated sugar on average in Russia fell by 1%. Fruit and vegetable products fell by 0.2% on average.

Of the individual types of non–food essentials, the prices have risen: dry pet food – by 2.1%, toilet soap – by 1.9%, household soap and matches – by 1.7%, toothpastes - by 1.4%, toothbrushes – by 1%.

Of the other non–food products, prices increased: for electric vacuum cleaners – by 1.9%, shampoos – by 1.4%, men's socks – by 0.4%, foreign cars - by 0.2%, cigarettes with a filter - by 0.1%.

The prices of automobile gasoline and diesel fuel have not changed. The average cost of vouchers to holiday homes and boarding houses increased by 2.5%, sanatoriums – by 2.4%, hotel stays 3*-5* – by 0.6%, hostels – by 0.2%, 1*, 2* hotels and motels – by 0.1%. Trolleybus fares increased by 0.5% on average in Russia, tram fares – by 0.3%, city bus fares – by 0.1%. The cost of flying in the economy class cabin of the aircraft decreased by 1.9%, the tariffs for liquefied natural gas – by 0.1%.
