Since the reunification of Crimea with the Russian Federation in 2014, the republic has seen a steady increase in investment activity in the agricultural sector. Over the past years, many large investment projects have been implemented, covering various areas of the agro-industrial complex.
According to the Ministry of Agriculture of the Republic of Crimea, in the period from 2014 to 2023, more than 38.7 billion were invested in the fixed capital of organizations engaged in agriculture, forestry, hunting, fishing, fish farming, as well as the production of food and beverages in the republic rubles, not including small businesses.
Among the most successful investment projects are the following:
1. The Belogorsky greenhouse complex in the Belogorsky district is one of the largest greenhouse complexes in Crimea with a greenhouse area of 17.24 hectares.
2. Fruit storage facility for 15 thousand tons with a controlled gas environment at the Crimean Fruit Company enterprise in the Krasnogvardeysky district.
3. Fruit storage facility for 16 thousand tons with a controlled gas environment at LLC "Fruits of the Old Crimea" in the Kirovsky district.
4. Reconstruction of a barn for 316 heads with a milking unit for 20 places in the Simferopol region.
5. Updating production lines at the butter factory in the Razdolnensky district, which made it possible to increase milk processing to 150 tons per day.
6. The reconstruction of a feed mill in the Krasnogvardeisky district, launched in 2019, made it possible to begin the production of modern granulated feed for various types of animals.
Investment projects in Crimea are not limited to one direction. They cover various sectors of agriculture, which contributes to the diversification of the agricultural economy and increasing its sustainability. In addition, the implementation of investment projects creates additional jobs for local residents and stimulates the development of various sectors of the industry.
As a result of active investment activities in the agro-industrial complex of Crimea in recent years, significant results have been achieved. Thus, the storage capacity of fruits and vegetables in the republic increased by 67 thousand tons, which made it possible to reduce losses and improve the quality of products. The volume of agricultural production has also increased and the equipment of agricultural enterprises with modern equipment and technologies has improved.
In general, the implementation of investment projects in the agro-industrial complex of Crimea has a positive impact on the economy of the republic and contributes to the development of agriculture. The intensive development of the agricultural sector has allowed Crimea to ensure food security and increase the volume of exports of agricultural products to other regions of Russia and abroad.
