The Stavropol Territory and Iran outlined new areas of cooperation within the framework of the Caucasian Investment Exhibition. This was announced by the governor of the region Vladimir Vladimirov in his telegram channel following a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Islamic Republic of Iran Kazem Jalali.
"Iran has a request to expand the supply of mutton and poultry, crop products. The Republic, in turn, can supply us with more export goods and create joint production in the region," the governor said.
Now Iran is buying grain, chemical industry products and other goods from the Stavropol Territory.
Last year, the trade turnover between Stavropol and Iran reached $34.4 million.
Vladimirov also said that the Iranian side offered to establish twinning links between Stavropol and one of its regions.
"The region is getting more partners, friends around the world - this is important," the governor added.
